The
Bronx Horns
 The Bronx Horns have established
themselves as one of the best Latin Jazz and
Salsa bands on the scene today. With the
capability to perform Latin Jazz, all forms of
Salsa (Mambo, Cha Cha, Megengue, Boogaloo,
Bolero etc.) or a combination of the two styles,
they serve up a dynamic performance every time
they walk on stage. Comprised of former members
of the Tito Puente Orchestra, their experience
and talent is rivaled by few musicians on the
scene today.
The band is made up of
Latin Jazz veterans such as group leader Mitch
Frohman on sax and flute, who spent 25 years
with the Tito Puente Orchestra, Trumpeter Pete
Nater, the legendary Bobby Porcelli on alto sax,
the great sonero Frankie Vazquez and an All Star
rhythm section rounding out the band.
The Bronx Horns inspire and create new
groundbreaking concepts in the Latin music field
by bringing listeners to their feet and
delivering their music with a fashionable poise
that can only be achieved by artists of their
stature.
The Bronx Horns have earned
mass critical acclaim and along with a devoted
following by delivering breathtaking
performances at the San Jose Jazz Festival,
Marciac Jazz Fest, J.V.C. Festival, the Lincoln
Center ‘Out of Doors’ Festival and top tier
clubs such as Birdland and The Blue
Note. The
Bronx Horns continue the legacy established by
their mentors Tito Puente and Mongo Santamaria
into 2014.
